About the compiler
Calvin Hibbard was William Cameron Townsend's secretary for most of the thirty-two years following September 1950. He and his family served in Peru for twenty-four years before moving to Waxhaw, North Carolina, in 1974. Cal and several colleagues compiled this biographical sketch from papers and publications left by Townsend after his death in April 1982.
